Bouchard Pere & Fils Nuits-St-Georges Les Porrets St-Georges Premier Cru 2021 750ml
The 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Porrets-Saint-Georges from Bouchard Père & Fils offers a medium to full-bodied profile with aromas of dark berries, spices, loamy soil, and plums. On the palate, it’s structured, generous, and has good aging potential (7-10 years+).
This wine pairs well with red meats in sauce, grilled or roasted dishes, and medium-flavored cheeses. It’s aged 12-14 months in French oak, with 40-50% new oak. Perfect for cellaring.

One of the more reserved, reticent wines in the range is the 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Porrets-Saint-Georges, a medium to full-bodied, lively red evocative of dark berries, spices, loamy soil and plums.

Rich bouquet with aromas of red and black fruit blended with a smoky note. Structured and generous on the palate, this wine is delightfully spirited. Very good ageing potential.

The name "Les Porrets" probably comes from a deformation of the word "poiriers". A long time ago, the vine advantageously replaced the orchards on this marly, chalky clay, so favourable to the great wines of the Cote de Nuits. In 2007, Bouchard Pere & Fils purchased 32 "ares" of this appellation, next to the "Climat" Les Cailles.
TASTING NOTE: Rich bouquet with aromas of red and black fruit blended with a smoky note. Structured and generous on the palate, this wine is delightfully spirited. Very good ageing potential.
