Flechas De Los Andes Gran Corte by Baron Rothchild 2019 750ml

The 2019 Flechas de los Andes Gran Corte is a remarkable blend, showcasing 55% Malbec, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Syrah. This full-bodied wine, aged in 100% new French oak barrels, presents a deep, brooding nose with aromas of blue and purple fruit, violets, and spices, with hints of asphalt. The palate is fleshy and round, with fine-grained tannins and a balanced, flavorful finish. Ripe and powerful, yet refined, this wine has a bright, fresh finish and is best enjoyed after 2025. It has excellent aging potential, promising to evolve beautifully through 2029.

A profound and brooding nose with blue and purple fruit and flowers. Spices, violets and a hint of asphalt. A co-fermentation of malbec and cabernet franc. Very fleshy and round on the full-bodied palate with plenty of fine-grained tannins and a flavorful finish. Better after 2025.

The 2019 Gran Corte is still a bit oaky after the wine matured in 100% new French oak barrels. It's a slightly different blend each year, and in 2019 it is 55% Malbec, 40% Cabernet Franc and 5% Syrah that ripened thoroughly to 14.5% alcohol, making the wine ripe and a bit heady, powerful but balanced and with abundant, fine-grained tannins. 10,000 bottles were filled in October 2021.
