The 2017 Duo de Conseillante is a graceful, medium-bodied Pomerol with soft tannins and notes of baked cherries, blueberries, violets, and spice. Made mostly from young Merlot vines on sandy soils, it offers bright fruit, floral elegance, and a silky, easy-drinking profile perfect for near-term enjoyment.

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Duo de Conseillante features enticing scents of baked black cherries, mulberries and wild blueberries with suggestions of violets and fallen leaves plus a waft of baking spices. Medium-bodied, the palate has wonderful elegance with soft tannins and understated fruit, finishing with a quiet intensity.

Just starting to open up. The accent is on the fruit, but with a floral note. Round on the palate, which is already showing fine tannins and some vintage depth as well.

Created in 2007, Duo de Conseillante is produced from two of the vineyard’s sandier plots.
Though less concentrated in profile, this wine displays aromatics and vibrancy comparable to La Conseillante. With an ageing potential of two to ten years, Duo reveals fresh fruit on the nose and a silky mouth-feel enhanced by delicious freshness.
