This wine is a true expression of complexity and balance. The saffron and spice notes are immediately captivating, intertwining with the mineral undertones that give the wine a distinct character. The ripe fruit flavors, including hints of guava and peach, are rich yet vibrant, giving the wine a lush texture. The balance between sweetness and acidity is impeccable, with the acidity lifting the rich fruit profile and the mineral notes adding structure. The finish is long and dynamic, leaving a lingering impression of spice and freshness. — Aleks Zecevic

Bright red and unspeakably steep, the Urziger Wurzgarten forms an amphitheater made of red lying, unique on the Moselle. This is where the grapes for large Rieslings grow with exotic, spicy aromas and great depth. In some years you can taste aniseed and even a hint of Gewurztraminer. The oldest vines of our winery grow in the Urziger Wurzgarten.
