Domaine Serene Jerusalem Hill Pinot Noir 2021 750ml
SKU: RDUS20214525
Domaine Serene’s 2021 Jerusalem Hill Pinot Noir is a refined and expressive single-vineyard wine from Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills, where vines planted in 2000 benefit from the region’s distinctive Missoula flood soils and cool Van Duzer Corridor winds. The wine combines concentrated dark fruit with bright acidity and elegant structure, revealing aromas and flavours of dark cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, blood orange, potpourri and baking spice, alongside savoury hints of mushroom and truffle. Silky, suede-textured tannins and a long, spice-laced finish make this a beautifully balanced Pinot Noir with excellent ageing potential.

Pure and polished aromas of dark cherries, raspberry coulis, baking spices and cedar. The palate is medium-bodied with seamlessly integrated tannins and bright acidity, giving notes of blackberry bush, potpourri and citrus peel. Refined and textural. Drink or hold.

The Jerusalem Hill Vineyard is located in the Eola-Amity Hills. Vines were planted in 2000 in Missoula flood soils and winds from the Van Duzer corridor result in thick skins. The 2021 Pinot Noir Jerusalem Hill Vineyard is bursting with technicolor scents of pomegranate, rhubarb, blood orange, potpourri and generous new oak spice. The medium-bodied palate combines concentrated flavors with suede-textured tannins and mouthwatering acidity, and it has a long, allspice-laced finish. It will benefit from several years in the cellar.

Jerusalem Hill Vineyard is an Eola-Amity Hills outpost for Domaine Serene. It feels light and graceful on the palate, with blueberry, green tea and orange zest flavors. Incredibly fresh aromas of blueberries, dark raspberries, garrigue and lime zest will bring you back for more sniffs. With its snappy acidity and sturdy tannins, you can look forward to enjoying this wine for another 13-15 years. — Michael Alberty

The Jerusalem Hill possesses the characteristic savory umami qualities for which it is prized, with a gorgeous core of dense black fruit. Summer blackberries mingle with button mushroom aromatics, and on the palate hints of caramelized meats and truffle entice.
