Domaine Serene Aspect Pinot Noir 2022 750ml
A powerful, expressive Pinot Noir blending fruit from the Mark Bradford, Grace, and Côte Sud blocks of the Evenstad Estate in the Dundee Hills. Perfumed and structured, it shows bright raspberry and dark cherry layered with spearmint, cinnamon, cedar, and savory herbs. Firm, fine-grained tannins and refined oak frame a muscular yet polished palate that will benefit from age. Fresh red fruits, blood orange, thyme, and pine weave together for a vibrant, complex finish.

This perfumed, structured and full-bodied wine is big, flavorful and rich in oak spices. Firm, fine-grained tannins lift bright raspberry, dark cherry, spearmint, cinnamon and cedar flavors on the palate. It’s muscular and rather tight and contained, needing time to soften and open. Drinkable now, but best from 2029.

This bottling, Aspect, combines three estate sites, Mark Bradford, Grace Vineyard and Côte Sud, all with different facings and slopes. A well-knit wine from the Evenstad Estate site in the Dundee Hills, dry-farmed at up to 825ft of elevation. Fresh fruit, a classic aromatic profile of the Dundee Hills, leaps from the glass with cherries, raspberries and savoury notes of thyme and pine bough. The palate is fleshy and delicious with a high yum factor. Sweet red cherries, ripe strawberries and a piquant note of blood orange embrace a framing of savoury herbs and spice.

Crowning the southernmost peak of the Dundee Hills, the Evenstad Estate is one of the world’s most exceptional sites for cultivating distinctive Pinot Noir. Dry-farmed on renowned Jory soils at elevations ranging from 520 to 825 feet, its seven vineyard blocks feature diverse exposures that yield some of our most celebrated wines, including Mark Bradford, Grace, and Côte Sud. This unique blend was thoughtfully crafted to showcase the remarkable synergy of terroir possible within a single estate — where variations in soil, elevation, orientation, and clonal selection converge to create extraordinary complexity.
The 2022 vintage was a classic Oregon season, defined by warm, sunny days and cool nights; an ideal balance for ripening Pinot Noir. Most of the grapes for this wine were harvested in October, allowing for extended hang time and optimal flavor development. The result is a wine that beautifully reflects both the character of the estate and the vintage itself.
About the ‘Aspect’ Collection
Our winemakers created the ‘Aspect’ series to showcase the art of the blend, capturing the terroir synergy from the diverse soils, elevations, orientations, and clonal selections within our vineyard estates. These wines are designed using a blend of grapes from our three highest-elevation estates in the Dundee Hills: the Evenstad Estate, Winery Hill Estate, and Triple Crown Estate, all situated within just a mile of each other. Despite their proximity, the vineyards offer unique characteristics and diversity within each estate that inspire our winemakers.
