A charming vibrant purple, with the heady class of fine Caillerets, not too marked by the vintage. Lush deep red fruit, slightly dry behind but the fruit is winning through. Elegance to finish rather than sunshine.

Les Caillerets has a total area of 14.33 ha among the 130 ha that make up the Volnay 1er crus appellation.
The word Cailleret comes from its soil composed of chailles, which are siliceous concretions formed in limestone rocks.
It is on this soil made up of fine clay, sandy loam and pebbles that one of the most beautiful climates of Volnay flourishes.
Facing due east, the slope is regular and well-drained. It is one of the earliest climates of the Côte de Beaune.
Like the adage "whoever has no vineyard in Cailleret, does not know what Volnay is worth", Caillerets are among the most renowned wines of Volnay.
This floral, elegant Volnay Premier Cru, with its delicate fruit notes of blackberry and wild strawberry, boasts fine, silky tannins. It achieves the feat of combining the generosity and delicacy of violet, whose fragrance it sometimes has.
