Mid yellow. Some weight though not as yet much detail. The Petit Clos shows very significant volume on the palate, ripe apple, confit citron, a richer if not yet refined texture. A touch of sandalwood. The inherent power indicates that this will need time.

Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard is a family-owned estate situated in Chassagne-Montrachet. Since 1989 the Domaine has been managed by Jean-Noël’s daughter, Caroline Lestimé, who converted the vineyards into organic viticulture. This release hails from ‘Les Petits Clos’, a Premier Cru in Chassagne-Montrachet where Gagnard owns a 0.32-hectare plot. Les Petits Clos is one of around twenty Premier Crus which are also classified as part of the 58-hectare Morgeot vineyard.
