Chateau Tour Prignac Medoc Cru Bourgeois 2020 750ml

This 2020 vintage is a polished and approachable Médoc blend, led by Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot taking a slightly higher share than usual for the region. It’s medium-bodied and silky, offering up aromas of blackberry, bramble, roses, and a touch of chocolate and walnut. On the palate, it’s smooth and balanced, with fresh acidity and soft tannins that keep everything nicely in check. Not overly complex, but super well-crafted and satisfying—just a really solid, easy-drinking Bordeaux with charm and energy. Great to enjoy now or over the next 5–8 years.

Medium-bodied, polished red with aromas of rose, blackberry and bramble. Chocolate and walnut, too. Flavorful and silky center palate, framed by fine-grained tannins. Pretty.

Lively with good energy, this has excellent acidity to balance the gently chewy tannins and ripe black cherry fruit. Not complex or layered particularly but really well delivered, round and full. A complete wine with cooling touches and a fresh finish, yet also with concentration. Feels like they struck the right balance in 2020. Delicious.

With its sumptuous ruby color, Château Tour Prignac is all about the elegance of its structure and the precision of its aromas. While this balanced, fruit-forward wine is made from the property's historic plots, its reputation is constructed on the back of rigorous selection and its slightly higher than average proportion of Merlot. Part of the Crus Bourgeois classification, Château Tour Prignac is remarkable for its aging potential, up to 10 years according to the vintage.
On the nose, the wine offers a harmonious balance of ripe red fruit and subtle spice. This is confirmed on the palette, with a smooth attack backed up by delightfully silky tannins. The overall impression is one of elegance, with an attractive finish, full of promise.
