Château La Dominique 2025 is a precise and vibrant Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé, crafted from 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. It opens with expressive aromas of blackberries, dark cherries, cola, liquorice, and subtle floral and mineral notes. The palate is linear and focused, combining fine, long tannins with juicy fruit purity and fresh acidity. Medium-bodied yet energetic, the 2025 vintage shows excellent clarity and balance, finishing long with a refined, mineral-driven lift and strong ageing potential.

Focused and curated, with very long, fine tannins that take the wine on a journey. Nicely ripe fruit with berry and light hazelnut undertones. Medium-bodied with a linear and long finish. Plenty of dark berry and dark cherry with lead pencil and flint. This is going to be an excellent wine in the bottle. 85% merlot with 15% cabernet franc.

Another excellent vintage from this trusty estate. A cool crystalline nose, cola, liquorice, tar and blueberries. So clean and pure. Crisp and focused from the off, a cooling menthol and blackcurrant element, soft grippy tannins and the most beautiful juicy mid palate that just makes you smile. A happy wine. It’s powerful no doubt but in a restrained way without any heaviness. Vibrant and energetic. I love the focus, the freshness and relatively delicacy. Filing in the month but this is exceptional in terms of fruit purity. Very drinkable. A yield of 30hl/ha. 3.68pH.

Located in the northwest of Saint-Émilion, on the edge of the Pomerol appellation, at the edge of the Pomerol appellation, Château La Dominique's 29-hectare vineyard, owned by the Fayat family since 1969, benefits from a great terroir, whose plots adjoin the most famous vineyards of the region - Cheval Blanc, Figeac, La Conseillante, L'Evangile.

Wine pairing
The idea of pairing, finally, is rooted in the genome of Dominica. Like the marriage of Cabernet Franc and Merlot in the blending process, a Grand Cru Classé expresses itself all the more when served with food.
While a Château La Dominique can be served with an entire meal, from starter to dessert, it's always tricky to give suggestions that vary according to the season.
