Carruades de Lafite 2025 is a refined and expressive Pauillac second wine from Château Lafite Rothschild. Blended from 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot, it opens with aromas of red currants, sweet tobacco, cedar, and subtle graphite. The palate is precise and energetic, combining bright acidity, fine tannins, and a creamy, elegant texture. Linear and well-structured, it delivers freshness, purity, and depth, finishing long with a saline, mineral edge. Upfront and instantly so welcoming and friendly and fun, bright, lively, full on acidity kicks off the expression – so lifted with the focus on the pure fruit. Salty undercurrent that gives such an incredible contrast to the ripe strawberry fruit. But this is also lacking no richness – it’s got muscles, power, concentration and such capacity to age. Fabulous. 2% Petit Verdot completes the blend.

Medium- to full-bodied, supple and fleshy, with powdery tannins, lively acids and a gently chalky finish, it checks in at 12.5% alcohol.
