Bien Nacido Santa Barbara Pinot Noir 2019 750ml
Sourced from the iconic Bien Nacido Vineyard in Santa Maria Valley, the 2019 Pinot Noir is a beautifully perfumed and structured wine that speaks to both place and precision. Hand-harvested at night and fermented with native yeast, it showcases layers of black cherry, mandarin peel, graphite, and woodsmoke, with subtle floral and tea-like nuances. Aged 16 months in 50% new French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it delivers chalky texture, bright energy, and signature Bien Nacido spice. Elegant now, with the potential to evolve gracefully through 2032 and beyond.

Drink: 2022-2032
Made with about 12% whole clusters, the 2019 Pinot Noir Bien Nacido Vineyard is ultra perfumed, with scents of graphite-laced black cherries, orange peel, woodsmoke and bergamot. The medium-bodied palate is gently chalky and very fresh, with energetic, earth-laced fruits and a long, uplifted finish.

Classic aromas of black tea, mandarin, and fresh cherries are layered on top of sage and exotic spices. On the palate, a concentration of early suave tannins and lots of Bien Nacido spice. We expect this wine to come into its own sometime in the next five years and age beautifully through 2030 and beyond.
