Two Hands Coach House Block Single Vineyard Shiraz 2021 750ml
Powerful, plush, and unapologetically Barossa. The Coach House Block Shiraz is a single-vineyard standout—layered with salted plum, blackberry, lavender, and hints of roasted spice and balsam. Rich and full-bodied, it balances intensity with finesse, showing chewy tannins, deep complexity, and a long, savory finish. Decant it now or tuck it away—either way, it’s built to impress.

The 2021 Coach House Block Seppeltsfield Road Greenock Shiraz is huge, firm and savory. The fruit speaks of blueberries and licorice, the tannins are earthy and unyielding, and the finish is minty—like spearmint oil spritzed onto roasted black berries. It also has notes of cracked fennel seeds and roast beef crust. It's a lovely wine. (Coming back to this again, at the end of the tasting, this is the most complete, concentrated and balanced wine of the lot. I can't help but think that these wines just need so much treatment: decanting, aeration, etc., for them to come alive. My points have come up from the original score.) 14.3% alcohol, sealed under Diam.

The Coach House Block Shiraz comes from an estate grown single vineyard near the tiny hamlet of Greenock in the Barossa Valley.
It is generous and supple whilst soft and approachable upon release. An ultra-rich, heady, mouth-filling Shiraz that combines balanced acidity and mid-palate texture.
Colour: Mid to deep crimson red.
Aroma: Notes of salted plums, lavender, fresh blackberry, fresh jam, wet earth and balsam.
Palate: Hits the palate with classic western Barossa generosity. Sweet and savoury notes intertwine and provide plenty of light and shade. Spicy plums, blue fruits and lavender dominate. Interesting notes of balsam and baking spices along with milk chocolate add depth and layers. Tannins are chewy in nature and run long on a very detailed and complex palate.
