Manoir De Gay Pomerol 2020 750ml
Manoir de Gay Pomerol 2020 is the second wine of the esteemed Château Le Gay, offering an accessible yet sophisticated expression of one of Bordeaux's most celebrated Merlot terroirs. Crafted from 100% Merlot grown in the prestigious Pomerol appellation, the outstanding 2020 vintage combines richness with remarkable freshness and precision. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry, dark chocolate, cedar, violets, and sweet spice lead to a velvety palate layered with ripe dark fruit, fine-grained tannins, and vibrant acidity. Refined oak integration and impressive structure provide excellent ageing potential while remaining approachable with decanting. A beautifully balanced Right Bank Bordeaux, Manoir de Gay 2020 pairs perfectly with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck, mushroom dishes, and mature cheeses.

Blackberry, dark chocolate and hazelnut with some cedar underneath it all. It’s full-bodied, tense and layered. Firm yet polished tannins. Not heavy, but muscular. Serious second wine. Drink after 2027.

Cherry, blackcurrant and cedar on the nose. The palate is creamy and smooth, full of currant and clove, with zippy acidity, fine-grained tannin and a persistent finish.

The 2020 Manoir de Gay has a deep purple-black color and fragrant scents of dried roses, menthol and cinnamon stick over a core of kirsch, black raspberries and chocolate-covered cherries. The full-bodied palate is bright and refreshing, featuring loads of juicy red and black fruits and a satiny texture, finishing with a floral lift.
