This village-level Vosne-Romanée from Domaine Coquard Loison-Fleurot is crafted from Pinot Noir grapes sourced from esteemed parcels including Les Chalandins, Quartiers de Nuits, Les Violettes, and Basses Maizières. The 2021 vintage showcases a luminous purple hue and offers a bouquet rich in red and dark currants, exotic tea, anise, and violets. On the palate, it presents medium-bodied flavors with notable density and a balanced finish. While it exhibits immediate appeal, cellaring will enhance its depth and complexity.

Cask sample. Mid crimson. Less expressive on the nose than their Chambolle-Musigny but opens up to pure, dark-red fruit and a delicate hint of spice. Elegant tannin texture and a firmer grip at the end. Needs time.

Winemaker

Glowing purple, racy, fresh, more redcurrant fruit, light and tight. Medium concentrated, quite straight laced at first, but even so the hedonistic elements cannot quite lay down and this develops an additional long tense linear finish.
