Dog Point Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2022 750ml
Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is a stunning example of Marlborough's signature style, offering a fresh and vibrant profile with notes of nettles, thyme, green apples, and grapefruit. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, sharp, and clean, with a refreshing citrus core and lively acidity. The wine’s maritime character shines through with ocean spray, beeswax, and hints of graphite and wet rocks. Made from organically grown grapes, it’s an elegant and textural wine that’s perfect for enjoying with fresh seafood or as a pre-dinner aperitif. Drink now or cellar for future enjoyment.

The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc has such a maritime nose of ocean spray, beeswax, saltbush and wet rocks, but it's also steely; there's graphite and pencil shavings. What a joy. In the mouth, the wine floods every available square millimeter with flavor. This is elegant, saturated with fruit flavor and textural too. Super wine. This is a classy estate growing organic fruit (the largest organic grower in New Zealand) and responsible for wines that drink well now and cellar well too. Blue chip. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Our version of the classic dry aromatic style of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The citrus core of flavours are juicy and intense with deliciously refreshing saline acidity. The wine calls for simple fresh seafood but can also be enjoyed as a pre-dinner aperitif with or without social distancing. One of the best vintages the region has experienced in years.
Grapes are hand-picked from eight of our own vineyards within the Wairau Valley. Cropped at an average of 10 tonnes/hectare. The fruit is whole bunch pressed, cold settled before fermentation and 4 months aging in stainless steel tanks. A portion of this wine is fermented using indigenous yeast. Bottled without fining.
