Nebbiolo
Nebbiolo is Piedmont’s iconic red grape variety and the foundation of some of Italy’s most celebrated wines, including Barolo and Barbaresco. Despite its pale colour, Nebbiolo is known for high acidity, firm tannins and remarkable ageing potential. It typically shows elegant aromas of red cherries, roses and violets, evolving with age into notes of truffle, leather, dried herbs and spice.
