Moscato
Moscato refers to a family of aromatic grape varieties, most famously Moscato Bianco (Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains), known for producing intensely fragrant wines with notes of grape, peach, apricot, orange blossom and honeysuckle. Depending on the style, Moscato wines can range from dry and lightly sparkling to sweet and richly dessert-like. It is particularly associated with Piedmont’s Moscato d’Asti and Asti DOCG, where its fresh acidity, floral character and gentle sweetness make it a popular choice for aperitifs and desserts.
