Marsanne
Marsanne is a classic white grape variety from the Northern Rhône, prized for producing full-bodied, richly textured wines with aromas of pear, peach, honeysuckle, almond and subtle spice. It typically has moderate acidity and a naturally generous, creamy character, often gaining greater complexity and nutty, honeyed notes with age. Marsanne is especially important in appellations such as Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph, and is frequently blended with Roussanne.
