For winemaker Alessandro Noli, this represents his idea of classic Burgundian Pinot Noir. The wine is ethereal and very fine, with high-toned red berry fruit, floral notes, and a suggestion of wild herbs. The extraction was very gentle – just one punch down fairly early in the ferment after pumping the must over the cap. This wine is not one for long ageing but should be eminently pleasant in its youth.

Matured in used barrels and vinified entirely without stems, the 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis offers up aromas of plums, deep spices and petals, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and fleshy palate framed by powdery tannins and ripe acids. Giving and demonstrative, this will drink well young.
