Domaine Roux Père & Fils Chambolle-Musigny Les Athets 2020 is a beautifully elegant wine from the prestigious Chambolle-Musigny vineyards, showcasing aromas of raspberry, violet, and undergrowth, with a refined body marked by fine, mellow tannins. The name Chambolle is thought to have derived from the Latin word 'campus'; from this we can presume that the village dates back to the Roman era. 

The Chambolle-Musigny vineyards adjoin, in the north, those of Morey Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin, and in the south, the hamlet of Vougeot. The vineyards spread across over 180 hectares, 61 of which make up the 24 premiers crus. The vines grow in a soil made up of limestone rock, but also small stones, bank gravel and scree from the Chambolle valley. The vines are planted on the south-south-east slopes. 

Chambolle-Musigny wines are above all perfect examples of elegance and finesse, and are often described as feminine. Medium-coloured, they release powerful aromas of raspberry, violet, and undergrowth. Their body is marked by fine and mellow tannins.
