A fresh, creamy-textured white with lots of freshness and lovely pear and green-apple character. Some white pineapple. It?s medium-bodied with crisp acidity and a flavorful finish. Less herbs and more clean, ripe fruit. Drink now. Screw cap.

Hints of cut grass and snow pea pods accent aromas of white grapefruit and passion fruit on the nose of Cloudy Bay's 2020 Sauvignon Blanc. The medium-bodied palate is round and generous at first, hinting at fig and nectarine, but it narrows to citrus and chalk on the silky-textured, mouthwatering finish. It's a solid, very drinkable effort, but such a historically important producer should be capable of more.

The Sauvignon which still stands ahead of the crowd - super intense, packed full of energy and vibrant flavours. The 2020 edition offers ripe, tropical notes alongside the characteristic gooseberry and lime. Mouth-watering and focussed, as ever it?s the weight/texture across the palate and concentration which makes Cloudy Bay stand apart. Impossible not to love in the sunshine from 2021 ? 2024.
