Here's an easy choice for a classic "pici all'aglione," a simple Tuscan dish of thick noodles in a spicy and garlicky tomato sauce. The Castello di Monsanto 2018 Chianti Classico shows a very authentic side to Sangiovese with wild fruit and even a distant touch of toasted spice or clove. However, the wine remains glossy and compact throughout with plenty of lifted, fresh fruit to shape a lively and energetic personality.
