The light-hued, cloudy 2018 Crown Prince Pinot Noir comes from a vineyard planted in the mid-1990s. It shows fine Pinot character, with mossy notes of sous bois, hints of cherries and beets, a light to medium-bodied feel on the palate and a lusciously silky finish.

Tasting Note
On Opening:
Soft wine with pleasant sweet fruits and full, dry finish. Early drinking style with roundness and mouth-filling flavours. Acidity, soft tannins and ever-so-subtle fruit intensity are all balanced into the total package.
After 1-2 hours:
Broad, mouth-filling flavour: stewed plums with hints of rhubarb. Tinges of acidity: this is a good ?drink now? wine which will improve a little over the next couple of years. After a day, the wine flows more easily in to the back palate. Clean dry finish.
Cellaring potential:
Good drinking: 2020 plus
Long-term potential: 2024
