Reserve de La Comtesse Pauillac *ETA Q3, 2027 En-Primeur* 2024 750ml x 6

Réserve de la Comtesse 2024 is the elegant second wine of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, and in this vintage, it delivers exceptional depth and charm with a serious Pauillac character. Made from 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc, it offers a finely tuned balance of structure and grace. With low yields (just 20 hl/ha) and 65% new oak aging, the wine showcases vibrant cassis and blueberry fruit, floral tones, and a refined, silky texture—expressive yet polished.

Nicely fragrant, very Cabernet in the aromatics, dried herbs, mint and blackcurrants. Floral, red and blue fruits, crunchy. Smooth and so succulent, cool and so sleek with a lovely soft juiciness on the mid palate. The end is taut and focussed but this keeps a stylish profile, lean but with enough fruit and texture to be filling. Very sophisticated, serious and structured. Definite charm here. Very easy to drink with salty wet stones on the finish. Not demonstrative, a little severe, but classy too and still with power it’s just funnelled. Liquorice, cola, wet stones, crushed graphite. 15% press. 50% production. Concentrated. 72% of Cabernet Sauvignon which is the highest proportion for Reserve ever. Ageing 50% new oak. 3.7pH.
Closure: Cork
Alcohol: 12.70%
Body: Medium
Grapes: 4% Cabernet Franc 72% Cabernet Sauvignon 14% Merlot
