Marcel Lapierre Morgon 2021 is a benchmark Beaujolais crafted by one of the region's most celebrated natural winemaking pioneers. Produced exclusively from 100% Gamay grown in the prestigious Morgon Cru, this wine beautifully expresses the character of its diverse terroirs through purity, freshness, and remarkable depth. Made with minimal sulphur and bottled unfiltered, it captures the authentic personality of Morgon while offering both immediate appeal and excellent ageing potential.
The 2021 vintage opens with captivating aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries, violets, sweet spices, licorice, and flinty minerality. On the palate, it is vibrant yet concentrated, balancing silky red fruit with refreshing acidity, fine structure, and a distinctive stony finish. Combining elegance with surprising intensity for the vintage, this is a beautifully harmonious Gamay that continues to evolve with time.

Deep nose of spices, licorice and dried cherries with a pronounced flinty note. Cool and sleek but with impressive concentration for the 2021 vintage, this already has wonderful harmony right through the long, structured and stony finish. Bottled with low sulfur addition and unfiltered. Drink or hold.

Morgon is one of the most famous crus and appellations of the Beaujolais ! Typically, Morgon wines display four dominant aromas: cherry, violet, raspberry, and a very subtle hint of licorice. Combining lightness and richness, our Morgon has an average aging potential of around ten years. Most of our vineyards are located within the Morgon appellation (18 hectares), within a 3 km radius around the estate, across a great diversity of terroirs and lieu-dit.
