Crafted from 45% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Franc, and 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2014 vintage opens with expressive aromas of blackcurrant, plum, cassis, violet, tobacco, cedar, and subtle earthy spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, combining ripe dark fruit, savoury minerality, fine-grained tannins, and vibrant acidity, leading to a long, refined finish. Now entering its ideal drinking window, this beautifully balanced Pessac-Léognan is an excellent choice for those seeking a mature, classically styled Bordeaux with excellent pedigree.

James Suckling | JS 93
Published: Feb 13, 2017

Currant and flower aromas galore. The palate is medium-bodied with tobacco-tinged black fruit on the entry. This has certainly gained more weight since I tasted it from barrel, exerting more presence in the mouth, although the finish just lacks a little complexity and seems rudimentary when compared to the Grand Vin. Drink now and over the next 6-8 years.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0564/7728/6464/products/Chapelle-de-La-Misson-Haut-Brion-750ml.jpg?v=1754564742
https://www.1855thebottleshop.com/products/la-chapelle-de-la-mission-haut-brion-pessac-leognan-2014-750ml
