I like the light orange aromas here, alongside chopped apple, fresh sourdough and white flowers. It’s fresh and elegant with a pretty, floral and citrusy edge. Fine bubbles. 35% chardonnay, 35% pinot noir and 30% pinot meunier. Disgorged in 2024. Dosage 7g/L. Drink now.

Vanilla shortbread seems seductive on the nose. Slender but fine palate majors on the lemon, spice, and hints of honey in a soothing and gentle fashion. Lovely aperitif

The latest release of Joseph Perrier's NV Brut Cuvee Royale is showing well, revealing a generous bouquet of ripe apples, mandarin, warm biscuits and subtle hints of honeycomb. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and rounded, with a generous core of fruit, ripe acids and a youthfully frothy mousse. It's testimony to the progress made at Joseph Perrier in the last decade.

The Cuvée Royale Brut has a pale yellow gold color, tinged with copper highlights and superb intensity.
On the nose
A discreet, refined first nose with a beautiful aromatic complexity. A fruity bouquet of apples, pears, and peaches.
In the mouth
The palate combines complexity and lightness, body and freshness. The floral notes of white flowers give way to fruity aromas of peaches on the finish.
Food and wine pairings
Cuvée Royale Brut is best enjoyed as an aperitif and can also be the sole wine with a meal. It's ideal with salmon gravlax or Parmesan shavings.
