Domaine Daniel Rion & Fils Cote de Nuits Villages Mosaic 2018 750ml

This Pinot Noir from Burgundy's Côte de Nuits-Villages appellation offers a vibrant and expressive profile. The 2018 vintage showcases aromas of cherry, raspberry, and subtle floral and earthy notes. On the palate, it is beautifully balanced with a lingering finish. The wine is crafted from vines aged between 10 and 50 years, planted on brownish-red clayey-silt soils over limestone in the communes of Prémeaux and Comblanchien. Aged in barrels of one wine or more, it has the potential to age gracefully for 7 to 8 years, or even longer in exceptional vintages.

Winemaker
Immediately expressive with raspberry, plum and cherry fruits. There's a hint of meat and really good flesh. Tannins are ripe and round and it is quite delicious.
Food Pairing: This wine pairs well with dishes such as roast duck, pheasant with grapes, veal loin, Provençal-style cod, pikeperch with red butter, and certain cheeses that are matured but not overly strong.
