Dom Perignon Champagne w/box 2010 750ml

The Dom Pérignon 2010 is a super balanced Champagne with fresh notes of green apple, peach, and a hint of bread and orange. It’s smooth and round with a nice, salty finish. While it's great to drink now, it can age well until 2035. It’s got a floral, fruity vibe with some herb and spice, making it perfect with tropical fruits or seafood like sea bass. Definitely one to enjoy now or hold onto for later!

Mineral and stone and steel. Dried flowers. Lots of dried fruits such as peaches. Apricot. So much intense fruit character. Wild flavors and complexity. A real pastry shop in the glass here. Full but not heavy. Wonderful flavors. Exotic. Drink now or hold.

Soft gold, with a gentle green luminescence and a paler rim. A fine bead and immediately reassuring nose…. classic DP this, citric fruit, slate, sourdough, soft spice and the softly whispered intimations of tropical decadence. Pedigree writ large. The palate continues the theme, albeit with great subtlety. Vincent describes sapidity, itself buttressing the fruit which now recalls nectarines and pineapple, maybe a hint of crystallised grapefruit. The finish unfurls neatly, a gentle phenolic kick of salinity underwriting structure and potential alike.

The 2010 Dom Perignon is already expressive, wafting from the glass with aromas of crisp green apple, peach, iodine, freshly baked bread, orange oil and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and charming, it's soft and round, with ripe acids, a moderately concentrated core of fruit and a pearly mousse, concluding with a saline finish. Open-knit and pretty, this is a giving Dom Perignon that readers might think of as reminiscent of a less reductive version of the 2000 vintage.

A year of contrast
Harsh… contrasted… perilous… For 2010, declaring a vintage was a daunting challenge.
Winter frosts and a cool spring were reminders of the vineyard’s northerly latitude. The summer was hot, but not excessively so, and infrequent rain confirmed a particularly dry year. Suddenly, in mid-August, everything changed. The equivalent of two months of rain fell in just two days. With the heat and the water, maturation was fast and generous.
The grapes had an elevated balance, at the same time sweet and acidic, but some parcels had to be left.

Vigorous and graceful
Dom Pérignon vintage 2010 is an invitation to the universe of tactile sensations.
The wine invokes a cuisine that resonates with its floral fruitiness, its structure, and its herbaceous salty and spicy notes.
Vintage 2010 will accompany tropical and floral ingredients such as rose, peach, granadilla and tamarind.
The wine will harness the dense flesh of fish such as sea bass, bream, turbot and scallops just as much as it will marry the mineral character of turbot skin and seaweed.
Food & wine pairing
The luminous sweetness of tropical fruit like green mango, melon, pineapple, instantly shines.
It then cedes to more temperate notes, the tingle of orange zest, the mist of a mandarin orange.
The wine breathes, revealing its freshness and a tactile sensation of peony, jasmine and lilac.
The wine immediately imposes its ample presence, full and massive. A sappy sensation dominates as the tactile is rapidly overtaken by the aromatic.
The body unfolds : generous, firm and controlled. Then it contracts, letting the wine vibrate with spices and pepper.
