Clos Rene Pomerol 2012 750ml

Clos René Pomerol 2012 is a traditionally styled Right Bank wine with a classic, understated character. It opens with earthy aromas of black fruit, dried herbs, and a touch of biscuit. Medium-bodied on the palate, it shows a clean line of acidity, subtle oak, and a composed, balanced finish. A conservative yet well-crafted Pomerol for those who appreciate elegance over opulence.

The Clos Rene has a slightly biscuit-like bouquet with autumnal black fruit and touches of dried herbs. It is unashamedly 'classic' in style. The palate is medium-bodied with a pointed entry, a fine line of acidity and a simple but composed finish with well integrated oak. Conservative, but nicely made. Tasted April 2013.
