Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel as of the 2018 vintage, this is a totally gorgeous wine with sleek damson fruits and a clear pocket of air running all the way through the palate and giving a menthol freshness on the finish. A definite one to recommend in the vintage, firm tannins, great fruit expression and a sense of personality. Easily touching the quality of their 2016 vintage.

Lots of blackcurrants and spices with some dried flowers follow through to a medium body with firm, silky tannins and a bitter-citrus and dark-walnut aftertaste to the fruit. Needs time to soften. Try after 2024.

Leads off with sweet bay leaf, tobacco and warm earth hints, which are quickly met by a core of steeped plum and black currant fruit. Shows subtle charcoal dusting and a note of cast iron that add fuel to the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2023 through 2035.

46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot.
Deepest crimson with smudgy rim. Fragrant with pure cassis fruit. Vibrant and expressive. Riper fruited on the palate, not raisined but heading in that direction. Plenty of fruit but lacks a bit of energy and freshness. Chewy texture. (JH)

Year after year, each vintage is different. However, the 2019 vintage forms part of an exceptional solar trilogy: 2018-2019-2020. Infact, 2019 was registered as one of the hottest years of the decade. After a mild, dry winter, spring was cool and damp.
Lovely weather returned with a progressive rise in temperatures, continuing the growingseason on a promising note. The month of September was very sunny, encouraging optimal ripeness for each plot of vines.
These ideal conditions allowed us to begin the harvest serenely, working with great precision. 2019 turns out to be the perfect meeting point between elegance and gourmandise.
