The 2024 Château Clerc Milon is a vibrant, classically styled Pauillac that balances structure and charm. With a mix of ripe black and red berries, fine tannins, and subtle spice, it shows real energy and elegance. A true Bordeaux blend with a touch of Carmenère and Petit Verdot, it’s polished, fresh, and built to age.

Very well-made, showing warm bread and graphite to the darker fruit. Not quite dense, this is balanced, juicy and supple in the center, showing a mix of black and red berries and cedar in the finish. Medium- to full-bodied, focused and nicely structured. It has fine, firm tannins and a long, nuanced finish. Classic Bordeaux without any sweetness.

Fragranced red cherries and plums on the nose with freshly-picked strawberries. Chewy and ripe, lovely concentration and texture of tannins here, lifted and alive. Succulent and round, broad and really complete. Lovely accents of spice, bitterness, minerality and density from the fruit and tannins. Super fun and really vibrant and alive. 1% Carmenère and 1% Petit Verdot complete the blend. Ageing 55% new barrels, 18 months. 3.72pH.

Notes of sweet cassis, pencil shavings and creamy new oak introduce the 2024 Clerc Milon, a medium-bodied, taut and lively wine built around chalky tannins.

One of Château Clerc Milon’s distinctive features is its blend, which combines five typical Bordeaux grape varieties in a true reflection of its vineyard: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenere. Each variety’s contribution is essential but must be in the right proportions to express the best of the estate, vintage after vintage.
Cabernet Sauvignon brings structure and complex aromas and flavours as well as great ageing potential.
Cabernet Franc brings freshness. Its proportion is another distinguishing feature of the wine.
Merlot complements the Cabernets with its full and smooth character as well as its velvety mouthfeel.
The rich and complex array of aromas and flavours is set off by the spice notes of Petit Verdot.
Carmenere gives the best of itself, bringing subtle notes of wilted rose petals and violet. Making up a small proportion of the blend, it is an essential part of Château Clerc Milon.

“2024 was a challenging and action-packed vintage! From the start of the vine growth cycle until harvest, our people’s commitment out among the vines every day was a decisive factor in its success. Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Clerc Milon and Château d’Armailhac 2024 are revealing themselves a little more with each passing day, reflecting fine-tuned vineyard management all year round with no compromise on quality. I am happy today to be sharing this new vintage with you.”
