CH’NG Poh Tiong, or ZHUANG Bu Zhong as he is known in China, is a lawyer by training. His first glass of wine, more than 40 years ago, was paired with Chinese food. Ch’ng is a senior judge for The World of Fine Wines Best Wine Lists in the World? competition and is the regional chair and vice-chair for the Decanter World Wine Awards and Decanter Asian Wine Awards respectively. He also contributes to Hugh Johnson’s Pocket Wine Book.
Ch’ng is author of 108 Great Chinese Dishes Paired (2010), My Friendship with Singapore’s Greatest Painter (2015), and 50 Bordeaux 50 Chefs (2017).
