At first, this is unusually toasty on the nose for a fresh young carmenere. But with aeration, the forest berries emerge nicely, followed by a hint of grilled artichoke. On the medium-full palate it has a very satisfying balance of rather polished, moderately dry tannins and lively acidity. Drink or hold.
