A fragrant nose with aromas of apples, pears, brioche and candied citrus. Round, silky and balanced with fine bubbles and a flavorful, minerally finish. Full-bodied with a creamy texture and wonderfully soft fruit. Highlights the balance of the 2012 vintage. A blend of 54% chardonnay and 46% pinot noir. Drink or hold.

Apolline also wanted to pay tribute to nature through a vintage Champagne, Henriot Mill?sime, an authentic reflection of the terroir?s character in a singular year. Thus, each vintage is a unique creation, with its own selection of wines for the blend and its own specific aromatic expression. 2012 seemed to be a worrying year at first, but turned out to be ideal in terms of weather. After a tormented start to the year, the conditions fostered excellent vegetative development and ripening of the grapes until harvest. During harvest, the heterogeneity of the grape profiles stood out, mirroring that of the climatic conditions throughout the year.

The Blend
Characterised by aromatic heterogeneity and complexity, Henriot Millesime 2012 is fully crafted from six Premier and Grand Crus, with a blend of 54% Chardonnay and 46% Pinot Noir. The first nose is intense, almost heady, yet it is swiftly counterbalanced by an incredible elegance with airy and floral notes. The wine unfolds with an endless flow of aromatic notes ? summer flowers, meringue, ripe fruits, then fresh summer currants, chalk, minerality, patina. On the palate, it is the same ballet coming together, which makes this champagne creation so unique and compelling.
