The 2019 Gran Malbec offers a refined expression of Malbec, with floral notes and a smooth, silky mouthfeel. It shows an elegant balance of ripe fruit and integrated oak, providing aromas of blackberry, cherry, and a hint of dark licorice. With a medium body and fine tannins, it has a caressing finish, making it approachable now but with aging potential through 2028. The wine's complexity and smooth chocolatey black fruit flavors make it an excellent match for hearty dishes like rack of lamb or full-flavored chicken and veal.

The 2019 Gran Malbec shows fresher and with more integrated oak than the 2018 I tasted next to it despite having very similar analytical figures. It matured in a combination of barrels, foudres and stainless steel and comes through as floral with varietal aromas, ripe but balanced and with a silky mouthfeel. 50,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2021.

This hearty, sultry, spicy, mouth-filling dark- ruby wine offers raspberry, chocolate, dark licorice, and lightly oaky flavors along with soft tannins. Lovely floral lift with intense, smooth, chocolatey black fruit.
Especially flavorful with rack of lamb, and full flavored chicken and veal.
