A complex chardonnay with guava, lime and lightly grilled-peach aromas, as well as flint and toasted hazelnut. The palate has an impressively taut and concentrated feel with praline, hazelnut, peach and lemon flavors all intertwined. Good depth here. Drink now. Screw cap.

Of the three 2018s in this year's lineup of releases, Dog Point's 2018 Chardonnay stands out as being the pick of the litter. Attractive notes of toasted nuts and grain join hints of grilled citrus on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is less generous than some years, but it offers bright pineapple and citrus flavors, a silky mouthfeel, and a lingering finish.
