The Clos Rene has a slightly biscuit-like bouquet with autumnal black fruit and touches of dried herbs. It is unashamedly ‘classic’ in style. The palate is medium-bodied with a pointed entry, a fine line of acidity and a simple but composed finish with well integrated oak. Conservative, but nicely made. Tasted April 2013.
