Chateau Pontet-Canet, a Grand Cru Classe Fifth Growth, has gained prominence and flourished remarkably in the past decade. Pontet-Canet produces wines that rival the quality of the Super Seconds and arguably even the First Growths, earning the estate stellar ratings from the world’s top critics. Its past five vintages from 2015 to 2019 have all been rated above WA 95 points and most recently its 2019 vintage scored WA 100 points. This highly coveted 100-pointer was the best buy of En Primeur 2019, solidifying the Chateau’s reputation as one of Bordeaux’s finest estates.
