Tasted blind at Farr’s 2002 Bordeaux tasting. A classic Pauillac bouquet with notes of blackberry, sous-bois and pencil box. Great lift and expression and with time there are some subtle tobacco accents following through. The palate is tannic, masculine, well balanced but austere, with racy acidity and a finish that would not be seen dead without a cravat. Excellent. Tasted October 2009.
