Very subtle nose – some honeysuckle florals and a fine haze of cedary spice. But just like the 2018, incredibly peppery! It's alive and lifting and pinging with peppercorns, almost moving into the Sichuan-pepper spectrum. English summer apricots, a bit of toasted oatmeal and buckwheat graininess, and then long, fine bitter-green-leaf stripes through the palate. A hint of creamy rich, tangy curds, of salted butter, of dried chamomile flowers. Powerful and broad-shouldered finish. This has a presence that the 2018 didn't have.

Sitting on southern facing slopes with altitudes between 220 and 325 meters, the vines that make the ‘Les Morichots’ are planted in soils ranging from pebbly limestones, marl, and even some sandy soils with a Jurassic basis. Aromas of mayflower, acacia, and honeysuckle blend with hazelnut and a profound minerality. The fruit and acid notes arrive instantaneously with a long and pronounced finish. Preferable with poultry and veal dishes, but also pairs well with salmon.
