Very fragrant, with aromas of blueberries, mushrooms, bark and wet earth, this subtle and complex wine is medium-bodied with fine tannins and bright fruit. At the same time, there is intensity and juiciness. The average age of the vines is between 50 and 60 years, and you can see the character. 54% cabernet franc, 45% merlot, and 1% cabernet sauvignon.

A beautifully polished Saint-Émilion showing sweet red and black berry fruit, rose petals, burning embers, and cocoa. Medium to full-bodied with a seamless, refined texture, fine tannins, and impressive depth, finishing long and elegant with clear ageing potential.

Floral and fragrant; rose petals and Turkish delight. Clean and crisp on the palate, doesn't hold the same degree of weight and texture as the 18,19 or 20 but what it may lack in power it makes up in bright easy-going fruit. It's a-typical in style like many 2021s, but it's smooth, round and gentle. Delicate and great for sooner drinking. I like the purity and the different side you get - still with the spice, florality and dark fruit but a lighter touch. Juicy but the acidity is well integrated, feels playful and bright. Fun, and just delicious. It's really not trying too hard and that's what I love about the 2021s. This wine shows you can adapt the winemaking to the vintage which is so important. If you like 2018 you may not prefer this but it's a beautiful glass of wine nonetheless. Lifted, clean, pretty. great acidity and strawberry juice with a chalky, salty finish.

Really fresh and complex on the nose with mint, flowers, and red fruits. Subtle freshness on the palate with attractive red fruits and approachable tannins.

Beautiful dark garnet color. Intense fruity nose. On the palate, notes of raspberry and blackcurrant. Long length with freshness and minerality.
Bought in 1947 by the Castéja family,
Château TrotteVieille, 1st Grand Cru Classé in 1855, is a very old Estate. A legend states that an elderly Lady living in the surroundings in the 14th century used to walking over to
where the Bordeaux stagecoaches stopped.
Characterized by an unique terroir (12 ha of vines) stretching over a calcareous plateau with a subsoil of clay and an important percentage of Cabernet Franc, TrotteVieille
produces exceptional wines which are known for their traditional character and their minerality.
A lot of texture for that generous wine marked by a vegetal touch. Smooth tannins and nice length.
