The 2019 Vigneti Del Salento Vigne Vecchie Primitivo Gold Series is a bold, full-bodied red from Puglia, made entirely from Primitivo grapes. With an intense ruby hue, its nose offers ripe aromas of prune and cherry jam, layered with tobacco and spice. The palate follows through with richness—soft tannins and sweet, earthy notes of cocoa, coffee, and vanilla. James Suckling noted a jammy, herbal character and a sweet-sour balance. A wine best enjoyed now, especially alongside hearty dishes or as a contemplative sipper.
