Two Hands Coach House Block Single Vineyard Shiraz 2020 750ml

The 2020 Coach House Shiraz from Barossa’s Greenock area is a rich, spicy powerhouse with deep black fruit and plenty of complexity. It’s got a brooding, dense character with chewy tannins that keep things exciting and layered — think plums, lavender, baking spices, and a touch of milk chocolate. This one’s got great depth and a long finish that makes you want to keep sipping.

The 2020 Coach House Block Seppeltsfield Road Greenock Shiraz is brooding and dense, and the tannins, which whorl around on the palate, are spread out and omnipresent, leaving me with thoughts of galaxies and stars. The fruit is black and spicy, and with all things taken into account, this is one of the spicier, more exciting wines in the high-quality single-vineyard lineup. Through the mid-palate and finish, there is a spool of exotic spice and fine tannin, and it lingers and draws you in for another sip. Very smart.

It is generous and supple whilst soft and approachable upon release. An ultra-rich, heady, mouth-filling Shiraz that combines balanced acidity and mid-palate texture.
Colour
Mid to deep crimson red.
Aroma
Notes of salted plums, lavender, fresh blackberry, fresh jam, wet earth and balsam.
Palate
Hits the palate with classic western Barossa generosity. Sweet and savoury notes intertwine and provide plenty of light and shade. Spicy plums, blue fruits and lavender dominate. Interesting notes of balsam and baking spices along with milk chocolate add depth and layers. Tannins are chewy in nature and run long on a very detailed and complex palate.
