Pommard has been considered as the finest wine of the Beaune region since the Middle Ages. This ensemble of plots covers around one hectare and is located mid-slope at an altitude of 290 meters. It overlooks the celebrated Pommard premier crus of Charmots and Pézerolles. The vines on this plot in the lieu-dit of Noizons are 45-years-old on average and are located in the most charming part of the Pommard appellation. It was the first vineyard acquired in Pommard by Denis and Bernadette Carré in the early 1980s. The vines face south on this land that was once planted with walnut trees. With its intense red color, this full and rich wine offers a magnificent depth. It is balanced and powerful, with remarkable finesse and aromas of cooked red fruits so typical of the wines from this lieu-dit. This Pommard Les Noizons is the epitome of Pinot Noir and is very similar to a premier cru. It reaches its peak after between 5 and 15 years in the cellar.
