The 2000 Château Beau-Séjour Bécot has received high praise for its balance and depth. It is a full-bodied St.-Emilion with complex aromas of ripe black fruits, cedar, and earthy notes, typical of the vintage. The wine offers rich, plush tannins and a deep concentration of fruit, alongside hints of spice and chocolate. It's elegant, structured, and approachable, with a long finish. Best enjoyed over the next decade or so, though it will continue to evolve with more age.

This full-bodied, modern-styled St.-Emilion offers a sensational perfume of smoky barbecue, jammy black currants, kirsch, licorice, and a touch of pain grille. Fleshy, savory, and full-bodied, it has shed much of its tannin, but still possesses abundant structure. It is an intense, modern-styled, mouthfilling, sumptuous, attention-getting wine to drink over the next decade.

Deep purple. Relatively diffuse nose with just a hint of leafiness. Pleasant rather than dramatic. Neat, dry finish. Very competent. Quite long. May improve.
