A 100% Tempranillo from high-altitude vineyards in Rodezno and Labastida, this vintage benefited from an excellent growing season that delivered healthy, balanced fruit. Aged two years in American oak—new in the first year, four years old in the second—it offers vibrant aromas of ripe strawberries, redcurrants, and sweet spices, with hints of toasted nuts, sea breeze, and a touch of Iberico ham. The palate is medium-bodied, silky, and fresh, with juicy red fruit, fine-grained tannins, and a long, harmonious finish. Classic Rioja character with a modern precision—drink now or over the next 8–10 years.

Rated as Excellent, the growing season enjoyed optimal weather conditions, offering us a magnificent sanitary and vegetative condition of the vineyard. The bunches, loose and well aerated, ripened exceptionally. This bonanza allowed us to wait for the optimal moment of harvesting of each of the plots chosen for this wine. The wines obtained stand out for their balance, pleasant freshness, with a round and very silky tannin, very suitable for aging and with a marked Atlantic profile, very typical of this area of La Rioja.

100% Tempranillo from the Mayorita, El Bardal and El Rebollar vineyards in Rodezno and Alto del Rey in Labastida, located at 500-600 m above sea level, planted on clay-calcareous soils more than 40 years ago.

Manual harvesting, with bunch selection in the field. We transport the grapes refrigerated in boxes to the winery to maintain their integrity. After gentle destemming and crushing, the grapes are transferred to the tanks where they undergo natural alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. This wine has been aged for two years in American oak barrels of our own manufacture, new the first year and in 4-year-old barrels the second. We carry out four traditional rackings, from barrel to barrel, separating the sediment produced during aging by candlelight. Bottled in May 2022.

A deep, bright, garnet-coloured wine with intense cherry tones at the edge of the glass. On the nose, its strong aromatic intensity of ripe fruit, strawberries, raspberries and red blackberries stands out, rounding out the pleasant balsamic notes of vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. On the palate it is rounded, balanced, with an initial gentle freshness and sweet, round tannins, giving way to a long, fruity and balsamic aftertaste, so characteristic of Viña Alberdi. 

Viña Alberdi is characterized by its  wide culinary versatility . It is an ideal accompaniment to appetizers, snacks, nibbles and barbecues, perfect with rice, pasta and stews in general, as well as with grilled meats and fish.
