Chateau Laffitte Carcasset St-Estephe 2016 750ml

Château Laffitte Carcasset 2016 is a classic Saint-Estèphe, a medium-to-full-bodied blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, and 3% Cabernet Franc. Aromas of cedar, black fruit, red plum, and subtle smoky oak lead to a harmonious, well-structured palate with crisp tannins, bright acidity, and a smooth, succulent finish. Elegant and focused, it offers excellent aging potential, comfortably developing over 15–20 years.

The 2016 Chateau Laffitte Carcasset offers attractive cedar infused black fruit on the nose, hints of red plum following just behind, quite detailed with abundant fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin that exert a gentle grip, a masculine Saint Estephe that is harmonious and focused, the finish testifying that just the right amount of oak was employed. Great job here!

60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc.
Charred wood gives a smoky overlay to the black fruit. Smooth, succulent balance. Bright acidic freshness on the finish. Very classic, albeit in a rather simple structure.
