Almaviva Wine Dinner
ALMAVIVA WINE DINNER
THE FRENCH-CHILEAN CONVERGENCE
Date & Time: 3rd June 2026, Wednesday, 7pm
Venue: Claudine, 39C Harding Road
Hosted by: Michel Friou, Almaviva Technical Director and Winemaker
This elegant evening centres on the confluence of France and Chile, as we introduce the wines of Almaviva, the Chilean icon, to the intimate side of French cuisine at Claudine. This ethereal pairing pays homage to the harmonious union of classic Bordeaux expertise and Chile’s New World terroir on which Almaviva was built.
Almaviva is the fruit of a felicitous encounter and profound alliance between two historical wine families – Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Bordeaux’s Château Mouton Rothschild and Chile’s Viña Concha y Toro. It was the very first wine in Chile created under the French Château concept, crafting an exceptionally elegant and complex Chilean wine made from a blend of classic Bordeaux varieties that has given prominence to Chile's ability to produce world-class wines. With its refined quality and style, Almaviva is indeed a legendary Chilean icon that rightfully deserves to be regarded as one of the great wines of the world.
Claudine is a French neo-brasserie by award-winning Chef-Patron Julien Royer (of 3-Michelin Star Odette) in a charming abode atop Dempsey Hill, inspired by honest home-cooking and convivial meals that fill your heart with joie de vivre.
